Empowered by Light is a non-profit dedicated to improving lives through renewable energy technologies

Our first project, Solar: ZAMBIA, aims to help families living off the grid in rural Zambia who regularly pay for kerosene lighting and cellular phone charging services.  Our project seeks to displace these costs by providing a clean, renewable solution--solar-powered LED light and phone charging kits.  A key aspect of this project involves measuring the environmental, financial, educational and health impacts of this program.
